Job Description: IAT Insurance Group has an internship opening to work from our Raleigh, North Carolina location for the summer of 2025. This internship will allow you to work across multiple functional areas including our Analytics and Business Intelligence Teams providing you with daily exposure to top-level business intelligence analysts, actuaries, underwriters, and executives in the field. The anticipated start date of this internship is May 27th, 2025. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities range from shadowing subject matter experts to performing special projects as needed.
Responsibilities include:
• Document complex business requirements and translate to technical coding steps/UI Design
• Query Data Warehouse Tables and Develop ETL Pipelines
• Design and Construct Scalable Data Models to be leveraged for Data Analysis and Visualization
• Visualize data by creating interactive reports and dashboards for Business Partners
Qualifications:
Must have:
• Rising undergraduate Junior or Senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0. (Graduate Students also encouraged)
• Ability to work out of our Raleigh, North Carolina office
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills both with Technical and business resources
• Willingness to learn
• Proficient with Microsoft office
• Ability to work independently
• Above average computer skills
• To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.
Preferred to have:
• SQL Coding Experience
• Exposure to Data Modeling/Database Design best practices
• Experience with Data Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
• Course work in Data Analytics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science
